Panning For Opinions
Updated: 1 day ago
Opinions are like assholes. Yeah, I said it. But the way things are in this country right now, opinions or more importantly how we arrive at them are the root of our problems.

My mantra since I started writing is "Tempt enlightenment by exploring alternative points of view". All I ask is that while you peruse JustSayingIsAll please accept my point of view for what it is, my opinion, based on what I believe to be true at a given point in time.
Adopting informed opinions is like panning for gold. We swish all the viewpoints around and see what stays in the pan. That's the good stuff, the weighty stuff, the gold, the stuff that contributes to convictions.
If you aren’t willing to do that, your opinions are lightweights in comparison to those that do.
You should probably do a little more swishing and a little less dismissing of others opinions.
Independent thinking* is the key to developing opinions and convictions. But logic dictates that you need to observe and experience things that are the basis of your opinions. In other words, have the intelligence to check shit out before you own it. Pan for the gold.
